THE KING’S VINEYARD CHURCH

"Glorifying Our King, Jesus Christ"

Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen (1 Tim. 1:17).

“Lord, now we fully and completely give You this church because it is Your church: Your plans, Your purpose, Your mission, Your vision, Your will. Forever. We have sinned in times past by making it our own: our plans, our purpose, our mission, our vision, our Vineyard. But now we give it to the King. It is now and forever more The King’s Vineyard. It belongs to the King, Jesus Christ, in order to glorify the Father, forever. We relinquish control; we forego the audacious claim to be in charge. Jesus, You are King and You are Lord. Will You take Your church, The King’s Vineyard, and live through us, Your body? We are committed to following Your Word and Spirit. No more “playing church” or “playing God,” but moving out of the way for You to have Your way. Your servants are listening.”

But there the majestic Lord will be for us a place of broad rivers and streams…For the Lord is our judge, The Lord is our Lawgiver, the Lord is our King; He will save us (Isa. 33:21, 22).

We are The King’s Vineyard because we are all about The King, Jesus Christ. Nothing else matters. We worship Him in all His majesty. We obey His every Word. We seek Him every day. That is where are heart is and this is what we are becoming. It is where our treasure is. We are children of the King. And we strive to be a church that loves Him and others not just in word but also in deed.

He who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see, to whom be honor and everlasting power. Amen (1 Tim. 6:15-16).

We are a Vineyard church because we believe in being equipped in and using our spiritual gifts in order to bring the love and truth of Christ to people of all walks of life. This was the heart of the vision God gave to John Wimber when the Vineyard movement began.

Then the King will say to those on His right hand, Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world…inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me (Matt. 25:34, 40).

When we minister to people right where they are at, we are doing it to Jesus. We believe in being “naturally supernatural.” The spiritual things are just a way of life for us, though we are a “down-to-earth” group of people that just love Jesus. Yet, we are totally dependant upon His power and grace to really touch people for Him. After all, He’s the King, and we want Him to get all the attention, not us.

Jesus answered, “You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice” (John 18:37).

Because Jesus came into the world to bear witness to the truth, we work very hard at teaching the truth – the Bible. That’s where we find the very words that Jesus spoke and He still speaks through it today. We like to help make it understandable, relevant, and practical to those we are ministering to.

He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God…And He has on His robe and on his thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS (Rev. 19:13, 16).

Whoever you are and whatever your background, Jesus Christ is waiting to bring you new life now and greater still…eternal life. And we at The King’s Vineyard represent this glorious King…and want to show you how real and wonderful He is. We’re here for you because Jesus, the King, is here for you.

I have set My King on My holy hill of Zion…Ask of Me, and I will give You the nations for Your inheritance. And the ends of the earth for Your possession (Ps. 2:6-8).
