WE ARE JUST TRYING TO BE IN S.T.E.P. WITH GOD’S MISSION FOR US:

SAVING THE LOST: “For the Son of Man has come to save that which was lost. What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them goes astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine and go to the mountains to seek the one that is straying? And if he should find it, assuredly, I say to you, he rejoices more over that sheep than over the ninety-nine that did not go astray.” (Matt. 18:11-13)

TEACHING THE WORD: And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen (Matt. 28:18-20)

EQUIPPING THE SAINTS FOR MINISTRY: And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, 13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; 14 that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, 15 but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ— 16 from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love. (Eph. 4:11-16)

PREPARING LEADERS IN GOD’S KINGDOM: You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. 2 And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. (2 Tim. 2:1-2)

How?

The Power of the Holy Spirit in and through us

“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5)

“Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,” Says the LORD of hosts. (Zech. 4:6)

Everything we do is preceded by prayer and praise. We are dependent upon the Lord’s leading, empowerment, and power to be fruitful for Him.

Why?

First, because we exist to please Him.

Therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to Him. (2 Cor. 5:9)

But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. (Heb. 11:6)

Finally, in order to bear much fruit.

"By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples." (John 15:8)

Because the harvest of souls is always RIPE and plentiful, we pray and then go out into field as laborers for His harvest. We do this because God has given us compassion for those without a shepherd.

But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd. 37 Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. 38 Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.” (Matt. 9:36-38)

RIPE, therefore, is the acronym that describes our ministry:

Restoration (Restoring the weary and scattered) BY

Impartation (Imparting the power of God and building them up)

Proclamation (Proclaiming the good news of Christ)

Education (Educating them in the ways of Christ)

Here is the kind of fruit we want to bear for God:

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. (Gal. 5:22-23)

OUR VALUES

I. Worship: We desire to worship God with all of our hearts and lives in spirit and truth. This is not just about singing and music but about what we do everyday by obedience, humility, and love in our constant desire to glorify God through Jesus Christ.

II. Making Disciples: We are called to proclaim the kingdom of God, introduce people to the good news of what Jesus has done for them, and bring them to maturity in the Lord.

III. The Word of God: In order to get to know God, which is what life is all about, we must know what the Bible says about Him. Therefore, we teach, preach, study, and most importantly, seek to live out God’s truth in our daily lives. This is the greatest witness of His reality.

IV. Prayer: Through prayer we build intimacy with our Lord and line our wills up with His. We have the privilege of participating as co-workers in God’s work and we do this through prayer. Therefore, prayer permeates everything we do.

V. Ministry: We are an army called to serve Christ in the power of the Spirit. We are committed to equipping and training the whole body to be released to do the works of Jesus. We believe in the fullness of the gifts of the Spirit and in equipping believers in their gifts. We are committed to the work of restoration, giving to the poor, hurting, and less fortunate of our time, talents, and treasures.

VI. Fellowship: We are a family of brothers and sisters in Christ who have been adopted into the family of God. We seek to develop friendships through small groups and social gatherings.
